Fiber Arts Entry Form 2026

This form allows you to add multiple entries on the same form. To add another entry, click the +Add Another Quilt Entry at the bottom of the form.  You will receive one conformation email with all the entries you submitted.

Early Bird Registration: Register online or by mail. Entry form should be received electronically or by mail with a postmark by August 1st for a chance to a sewing machine!

Registration Deadline: August 28th

Entry Drop-Off: Friday September 11, 10am -2pm

Drop-Off Address: The Little White Church, 525 Main St, Hill City, SD

Entry Pick Up Date: Sunday September 13th, 5pm – 6pm

Pick Up Location: Gins School Gymnasium, 341 Main St, Hill City, SD

The show ends at 4pm. We appreciate your patience as items are taken down, bagged and accounted for.

🧶 Fiber Arts Categories

📌 Category Guidelines

Our categories are based on the purpose and use of the finished item, rather than the technique used to create it.

All entries must contain a prominent fiber component such as yarn, fabric, thread, roving, or similar materials.

Display Requirements

  • 🏷️ Include an ID label with your name, address, phone number, and email.
  • 🖼️ Hanging items should include a hook, wire, rod, or hanging sleeve.
  • 🪑 Tables are available for non-hanging entries.

🏠 F1 — Utilitarian

Fiber creations designed for everyday use

Examples:

  • Placemats
  • Hand towels
  • Rugs
  • Curtains
  • Table runners
  • Napkins
  • Pillows
  • Floor cushions
  • Afghans & blankets
  • Decorative household items

👗 F2 — Wearable Art

Fiber creations designed to be worn or carried

Examples:

  • Coats & jackets
  • Sweaters & vests
  • Purses & totes
  • Mittens & socks
  • Hats
  • Belts
  • Jewelry
  • Fashion accessories

🧵 F3 — Spinning

Hand-spun fiber and yarn creations

Examples:

  • Hanks & skeins
  • Single-ply or multi-ply yarns
  • Animal, plant, or synthetic fibers
  • Wheel-spun or drop-spindle spun fibers

Requirements:

  • Clean, finished, tied, and twisted for display

🎨 F4 — Fiber Art

Creative and artistic fiber-based works

Examples:

  • Wall hangings
  • Tapestries
  • Sculptures
  • Basketry
  • Vessels
  • Figurines
  • Mixed fiber artwork

🌟 F5 — Junior Category

For artists under 18 years of age

All fiber arts entries created by youth exhibitors are eligible.


ℹ️ Category Placement

The show committee reserves the right to place entries in the category that best fits the item.
