Fiber Arts Categories

Categories Change:
Our new categories reflect the function of the final artwork rather than technique. All entries need some prominent form of fiber, i.e, yarn, fabric, thread, roving, etc. When deciding which category, imagine how your fiber or textile entries can be used. Ensure each item has an ID Label (Name, Address, Phone #, Email). Items hung for display need a hook, wire, bar, etc.  Tables are available for non-hanging items.

Ensure you have an ID label on the back of each item (Name, address, phone, email).

F1:  Utilitarian: placemats, hand towels, rugs, curtains, table runners, napkins, pillows, floor cushions, afghans, blankets, brooms, etc

F2:  Wearable Art: coats, jackets, vests, sweaters, purses, totes, mittens, socks, hats, belts, jewelry, etc

F3: Spinning Hanks or Skeins – clean, finished, tied and twisted, animal, plant, or synthetic fiber, single or multiple ply, drop and all types of wheels, etc

F4:  Art: wall hangings, tapestries, sculptures, basketry, vessels, figurines, etc.

*We reserve the right to place your item in the appropriate category.
