Our members created a collection of patriotic quilts to honor local veterans. Eash quilt was handcrafted with gratitude and presented during a special recognition ceremony as a heartfelt thank-you for their service.

Our Quilts from the Heart program creates handmade quilts that bring warmth, comfort, and hope to individuals and families facing life’s most difficult moments. Every quilt is stitched with love and donated to someone in need.
Community Impact
Every Quilt from the Heart is handcrafted by members of the Heart of the Hills quilters Guild and donated to someone in need. Together, our members share warmth, comfort, and compassion throughout the Black Hills.
Membership in Action
Guild members work together to create quilts that provide encouragement and hope to individuals facing illness, loss, or other life challenges. Every stitch is made with care and given from the heart.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Pillowcase Project
Our Pillowcase Project brings comfort, hope, and a touch of home to children and adults facing difficult times. Together, one handmade pillowcase at a time, we help brighten someone’s day.
Who We Help
Handmade pillowcases are donated to local organizations serving foster children, hospice patients, women's shelters, Sleep In Heavenly Peace, Custer Rehab & Care Center, and others in our community.
How It Works
Guild members sew pillowcases throughout the year. They are displayed during the Quilt Show before being donated. Last year, more than 165 pillowcases were shared throughout our community.
How You Can Help
Download the free pattern, sew one or more pillowcases, and return them to a Heart of the Hills Quilters Guild member by August 29 to be included in this year's display.
