Fiber Arts Categories
Entry Categories: All entries need to have some prominent form of fiber, i.e., fiber, yarn, fabric, thread, etc.
Ensure you have an ID label on the back of each item (Name, address, phone, email).
All hanging items need a hook, wire, sleeve, bar, etc. Tables are available for non-hanging items.
1: Wearable Art: coats, vest, jackets, purses, totes, sweater mittens, hats, jewelry, etc.
2: Rug Making: Hand hooking, woven, braided, rag rugs, jelly roll rugs, etc.
3: Needlework other than quilting: Cross stitch, needlepoint, embroidery, Hardanger, crewel, etc.
4: Fiber Vessels: Baskets, bowls, vessels made of woven fibers, clothesline, fabric, rope, etc.
5: Knotting: Knitting, crochet, lace making, tatting, macramé, netting, etc.
6: Felting: 2D or 3D landscapes, figurines, wall hangings, vases, etc.
7: Weaving: wall hangings, tapestries, tablecloths, hand towels, etc.
8: Mixed Media: Artwork which more than one medium or material has been employed with some type of fiber (paint, paper, and found objects for example): assemblages, collages, sculptures, etc.
9: Junior Category. All artists under age 18
